Dr. Kishwor Sapkota is an Assistant Professor of Law at Tribhuvan
University, Nepal Law Campus. He has completed his Ph.D. from the
Office of the Dean, Faculty of Law, Tribhuvan University, with a
specialization in Human Rights and International Criminal Law,
supported by a full scholarship from the University Grants Commission,
Nepal. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Criminal Law and
International Law from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University, Master
of Arts in Rural Development from Trichandra Multiple Campus,
Tribhuvan University. In addition, he has earned a Bachelor of Laws
(LL.B.), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), and a one-year Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed.).
Dr. Kishwor Sapkota currently serves as the Deputy Director of the
B.A. LL.B. Program at Nepal Law Campus. He teaches LL.M. courses in
Criminal Law and has extensive teaching experience in subjects such as
Jurisprudence, Moot-Court, Nepalese Legal System, Human Rights, Cyber
Law, Comparative Law, and Victimology across various academic levels.
He has also authored numerous articles published in national journals.
Dr. Sapkota is an experienced practitioner in the fields of Criminal
Law and International Law. He has conducted several national research
projects and actively contributes to Tribhuvan University through his
roles in various academic and policy-making committees, including
examination committees and other institutional governance bodies.
Dr. Sapkota has delivered numerous guest lectures on Criminal Law and
International Law to Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors enrolled in the
MPS, PGDP and special training course at the National Police Academy.
He has also conducted law-related classes for trainees at the National
Armed Force Academy and has been invited to teach various law subjects
at different academic institutions affiliated with Tribhuvan
University and Purbanchal University.
Dr. Sapkota has actively participated in numerous national and
international seminars, conferences, and programs across various
countries. He has visited more than 20 countries, including the USA,
Germany, and Japan. He has also served as a guest lecturer for the
Legal English Program at Chuo University, Chuo Law School, Tokyo,
Japan.
Dr. Sapkota has been completed two months Course of Teaching of
Refugee Law organized by Department of International Refugee Law and
Migration Law, International Institute of Humaniterian Law, Sanremo,
Italy. He is also participated in Summer Program at Europa University
Verodina, Frankfurt (oder) for 15 days from 07 September 2014 to 21
September 2014 at Germany, Participated in Summer Program at Chuo Law
School, Chuo University, Tokyo Japan from 10th August 2015 to 14th
August 2015, Participated in International Law Weekend (ILW) 2016, an
annual conference held in New York City, New York, USA. Program was
scheduled in Association of the Bar of the City of New York at 42 West
44th Street on Thursday, October 27 and at the Fordham Law School at
Lincoln Center on October 28-29, 2016, Asian Young Teachers Workshop
organized by NOIDA University, India for 1 week in India, and
Participated in 14th SAARC Law and 11th Chief Justice Conference for 3
days at Colombo, Srilanka.
